Red Burgundy wine
Clear pale ruby color with purple hues. Herbaceous aromas of red berries and cassis. Well structured and Smoky on the palate, with light body, easy to drink. Notes of fig, redberries, meaty and flinty . Medium finish.
Volnay combines breeding with nobility, delicacy, elegance and feminity. A delicate violet and berry fragrance. One of the finest representatives of the Côte de Beaune. The Volnay is in the Côte de Beaune what the Chambolle Musigny is in the Côte de Nuits. A feminine wine which is one of the only Burgundy Pinot Noir you can already enjoy and drink when...
Fullish red purple, with a richer softer strawberry nose with a few darker more animal notes alongside. A touch firm up front, but there is a really engaging vibrant yet ripe red fruit behind. Excellent length, very promising.
The Pommard wine has a dark red colour with intense and percussive aromas of blackcurrant, musk and game. Acidity well-marked and a mellowness that only appears after a minimum of maturation. Tannic and charpented wine.
An ultra-fresh nose is composed by notes of red berries, earth, cherry and a hint of wet stone. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the well-delineated and attractively textured medium weight flavors that also reflect the stony character of the nose on the saline, balanced and focused finale. Lovely. – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Score: 89-91
The Pommard 1er Cru "Les Grands Epenots” wine has a dark red colour with intense aromas of blackcurrant. Taste dominated by astringency thanks to well-marked acidity and a mellowness that only appears after a minimum of maturation.
Medium bodied, broody but quite compelling bouquet with blackberry, bilberry and a light marine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit on the entry, a fine line of acidity. Farmed biodynamically.
