Baron de L, Domaine Ladoucette 2018

Ladoucette Baron de L is a Sauvignon Blanc white wine from the AOC Pouilly-Fumé produced by De Ladoucette.

Since the end of the 18th century, the Counts of Lafond have had the largest and most famous vineyards in Pouilly- Fumé. Currently, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, heir to this tradition, continues at the head of this household, making some of the best wines in the area.

The vineyards for Ladoucette Baron de L are planted in clay soils. The wine is made exclusively with musts from a first pressing. Before fermenting, these are disgorged by decanting to achieve a clean fermentation free of unpleasant odours. The wine ferments at a low temperature of about 14 ºC, and ages on lees for a period of 8 to 10 months in glass tanks with a ceramic coating. Lastly, it remains stored on its fine lees for another 15 months before being bottled.

Ladoucette Baron de L is considered one of the best expressions of Sauvignon Blanc in the world.
