Loire Valley wine
Gleaming, cherry red in colour. Rich on the nose with very fruity hints – of small red fruit such as strawberries, blackberries and Morello cherries but also of spices. On the palate, the first sensations are soft and fleshy revealing blackcurrant and other red fruit. As a whole, the wine is well-structured with fine tannins leaving a long-lasting taste...
WS: A beauty, with an inviting display of succulent yellow apple, green plum, pear, persimmon and quince flavors that ripples lengthily through the finish, while light verbena, ginger and honeysuckle notes dart around. A long green tea echo runs through the finish. Shows terrific range and purity, with the sweetness easily harnessed for balance.
This is a Sweet wine yet refined and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, rich and generous yet piquant and firmly structured, greatly tensioned and salty Moelleux. With less clay and more stone than Le Haut-Lieu, Le Mont yields young wines of intense minerality. The wines are the estate's most reticent, but develop the strongest perfume with age.
Baron de L Pouilly Fume has a powerful and fresh nose with aromas of orange peel, grapefruit, beeswax and floral hints. On the palate the fruit is full and elegant showing a mineral complexity combined with herbaceous fruit and zesty acidity. The length is extraordinary and makes Baron de L one of the finest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc.
